Academic Enrichment & Extension Opportunities
Chamber Choir and Extra-curricular:
Students are encouraged to join the chamber choir which offers performance opportunities throughout the year at the Christmas and Spring Concerts as well as the Summer Arts Festival. We also want you to take part in as many extra-curricular activities as possible, as well as take the opportunity to perform your recital pieces in concerts.
Workshops:
You will get the chance to work alongside a professional composer one-to-one and have feedback on your compositions.
Trips:
We aim to attend Music Performances throughout the year that are relevant to the course or that are just for fun and enriching students’ experience and culture.
Subject Ambassador:
Sixth Form music students are invited to be Music subject ambassadors. This means supporting teachers in lessons with other year groups, talking to prospective students and parents at open evenings and teaching extra-curricular clubs to younger year groups.
Future Options & Career Opportunities
Music as a career can take you in many different directions, depending on the area you choose to specialise in.
Majoring in Music can show you all the options available if you choose to study music.
