Academic Enrichment & Extension Opportunities

Senior Youth Theatre:

Students are encouraged to join the Academy’s Sixth Form Form Drama Club which offers one main Drama performance each year, plus the opportunity to perform at the Summer Arts Festival. Students who like musical performance are also given the opportunity to perform in the Trust’s pantomime and the Academy’s main musical production.

Workshops:

At the academy we aim to invite professional practitioners working within the Performing Arts industry into school, this can include creating work for the syllabus or just for fun and experience!

Trips:

We will attend live productions that are relevant to the course and use a digital platform to watch productions to enrich students’ experience and culture.

Subject Ambassador:

Sixth Form Performing Arts students are invited to be subject ambassadors for any of the subjects included within the faculty. This means supporting teachers in lessons with other year groups, talking to prospective students and parents at open evenings and helping out in extra-curricular clubs with younger year groups.
