Sixth Form Students Take Part in Eye-Opening Fire & Rescue Experience

Interactive safety sessions equip students with vital knowledge as they prepare for life on the road.
This month, our Sixth Form students took part in a brilliant Fire & Rescue Day across Wednesday and Thursday, engaging in a range of interactive road safety activities. The sessions gave students the opportunity to explore emergency service vehicles, equipment and live demonstrations, led by visiting first responders.
This experience was particularly valuable for our Sixth Formers, many of whom are beginning to learn to drive or travel regularly with peers. The day helped to raise awareness of the potential dangers on the road, while also equipping students with essential knowledge on how to respond effectively in an emergency situation.

We are extremely grateful to the first responders who dedicated their time to deliver such an informative and engaging experience. Students not only gained invaluable life skills, but also enjoyed the chance to get hands-on — including the exciting opportunity to sound the sirens on the fire engines!
