May Sporting Highlights

U16 District Cup Final

In a thrilling, end-to-end final, our U16S fell just short in a dramatic penalty shoot-out. We started with high intensity, dominating the early exchanges and creating several golden opportunities that nearly broke the game open.

The quality of football was elite from both sides, defined by fierce physical battles and clinical passing. After a hard-fought 1-1 draw at full time, the game moved to penalties. Despite a brave effort, we narrowly lost the shoot-out 4-3. A heartbreaking finish, but a performance defined by immense heart and skill.

14 County Cup Final

The final started at a blistering pace, and the girls dealt an early blow when the opposition clinically took a 1-0 lead within the first ten minutes. That opening goal served as a wake-up call. The girls responded with immediate intensity, pinning the opposition back and unleashing a barrage of attacks. For a moment, it felt like the goal was charmed, as multiple shots rattled the crossbar in quick succession.

The persistence finally paid off when the equaliser hit the back of the net. From that moment on, there was no looking back. The momentum shifted entirely, and the floodgates opened. Our clinical finishing took over, with five more goals following across both halves to dismantle the opposition. It was a dominant display of character and attacking flair, securing a well-deserved 6-2 win to lift the trophy. Goals from Mia P x2 and Faith x 4. Big congratulations to Faith, who was nominated as the opposing team's Player of the Match.
