Year 9 Boys Rugby

Year 9 kicked us off with an 89-14 victory over local rivals Redborne. Year 9 rugby numbers are high, and they are looking like a talented squad. We look forward to seeing their development.

U15 vs Hitchin Boys

With a number of new students joining the school this summer, the Year 10 squad has been bolstered and showed real promise in their first match of the season. The team made a flying start, racing to a 33–0 lead by half-time thanks to tries from Morgan A, Pete L, and Will T. The second half proved to be a more competitive affair, but the boys held their ground and secured a convincing 43–5 victory. A fantastic opening performance and an exciting season ahead!

U16 vs Hitchin Boys

The Year 11 squad have also made an excellent start to their season, building on the hard work put in over the summer and during training. Their efforts paid off with an emphatic 51–3 win against local rivals Hitchin Boys School. Standout performances came from Joe R, Seb K, Ben P, and Finton M, who all played a key role in the success. Spirits are high as the team look forward to testing themselves further against Bedford Modern School in the National Cup.

1st XV
Finally, the 1st XV faced long term friends, The Perse School. A convincing display from many of the experienced Year 13s as well as exciting Year 12 prospects, saw SWA run out winners, 45-12.
