Year 10 Computing Visit to Bletchley Park

On Monday 22nd June, our Year 10 Computer Science and IT students enjoyed an inspiring visit to The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park.
Throughout the day, students took part in a range of interactive workshops, including Robotics and AI, a guided World War II cryptography tour, and a session exploring 1980s games programming using the museum's original BBC Micro computers. They also had the opportunity to explore the museum's exhibits, discovering everything from vintage hardware to modern computing innovations.

The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to bring their classroom learning to life, connecting key computing concepts with real historical artefacts and hands-on experiences. It was a fascinating day that deepened their understanding of how computer science has evolved and continues to shape the technology we use today.
A big thank you to the staff who organised and accompanied the trip, helping to provide such a valuable learning experience for our students.
