Bringing History to Life: Year 10 Explore WW1 Medicine

An Interactive workshop deepens understanding of the GCSE Medicine in Britain unit

On Tuesday, 10th March, our Year 10 History students took part in an engaging First World War Medicine Workshop, delivered by David Allton from Frontline Living History.

The workshop provided students with a unique opportunity to see and handle a wide range of WW1 artefacts, while hearing the powerful stories behind them. This immersive experience directly supported their studies of the Medicine in Britain GCSE unit, helping to deepen their understanding of this key area of the course.

With three sessions running throughout the day, all Year 10 History students benefited from this hands-on learning experience.

We would like to extend our thanks to David Allton for delivering such an informative and memorable workshop for our students.
