Sixth Form Open Evening & Careers Fair: An Evening of Opportunity

On Thursday 13th November, Samuel Whitbread Academy was delighted to welcome students, families and employers to two major events in our calendar: the Sixth Form Open Evening and the annual Careers Fair. Both events were a tremendous success, showcasing the wide range of opportunities available to our students as they plan their next steps.

Our Sixth Form Open Evening saw an impressive turnout of prospective students and parents eager to learn more about life in SWA’s Sixth Form. Staff and Sixth Formers were available throughout the evening to discuss subjects, enrichment opportunities and the exceptional support offered in Years 12 and 13. Displays, demonstrations and student ambassadors helped bring the curriculum to life and provided visitors with a genuine insight into the vibrant learning environment at SWA.

Alongside the Open Evening, our Careers Fair brought together a diverse range of employers, apprenticeship providers and further education organisations. Students were able to explore a wide variety of pathways, speak directly with industry professionals and gain valuable information to help shape their future choices.

For anyone unable to attend the Sixth Form Open Evening, we are pleased to offer individual tours. These can be arranged by contacting the Sixth Form team directly at swa-sixthformadmissions@bestacademies.org.uk

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all students, staff, visitors and external organisations who contributed to making the evening so informative, welcoming and inspiring.
