Our Day in Court

GCSE Sociology students had an insightful day at the National Justice Museum this month.
On Tuesday 7th October, our GCSE sociology students visited the National Justice Museum in Nottingham. Here, the students took part in a re-enactment of a real life court case on harassment and cyber bullying. Our students were given specific roles including Prosecution barrister, Defence barrister, Judge, Witness and Jury. The students prepared for their day in court and the Prosecution and Defence did a fantastic job at preparing examination and cross-examination questions.

The staff also commented on what an exceptional job our Year 10 group did at reaching their decision as jurors. Our students also had the opportunity to take part in a workshop where they redesigned our justice system and enjoyed a tour of the old prison.
