Discovering the Power of Physics at Cambridge

Students from Year 11 and Sixth Form enjoyed an inspiring day at the University of Cambridge’s Physics at Work event.

The programme gave students the chance to step beyond the classroom and see physics in action. From exploring space with the National Space Academy to learning about cutting-edge research in nanophotonics, astrophysics, and chemical engineering, students discovered the many ways science impacts our everyday lives. They also heard from organisations such as the British Antarctic Survey and the Atomic Weapons Establishment, showcasing the wide range of careers physics can lead to.

It was a fascinating and eye-opening experience, leaving students with plenty to think about as they consider their own future pathways in STEM.
