Year 12 Biology Students Contribute to Re-wilding Project

Our Year 12 Biology students had a fantastic week getting hands-on with real-world science at the Southill Estate. They were busy conducting vital sampling work to explore biodiversity, as part of an exciting and ongoing re-wilding project with Charles Whitbread. We are incredibly grateful for this unique opportunity for our students to contribute to such an important environmental initiative!
This marks the second year our students have been involved, allowing them to compare their findings with last year's data. This continuous work is a brilliant example of scientific progress in action, providing valuable insights into the re-wilding efforts.
Beyond their biodiversity studies, the students also spent the day delving into carbon cycles and even managed to squeeze in some competitive snail racing for a bit of fun!
