Bedfordshire Netball League

The U16 teams kicked off the Bedfordshire Netball League with a dominant performance against Bedford Girls School this September. Both the U16A and U16B squads put in fantastic performances, setting a fantastic tone for the rest of their league campaign.

SNS National Competitions

The U19 1st Team faced a tough Round 1 match against a strong Norwich side, eventually falling 41-26. However, their national run was far from over with their First Round fixture against St Joseph's College bringing home a victory of 46-29.

Meanwhile, the U19 2nd Team launched their national campaign in Round 1 of the SNS Bowl on Thursday, 15th October. Determination and passion were seen in every minute of the match, culminating in a fantastic win of 32-14.

AOC League

The AOC League season opened with an away trip to Barking Abbey this September for both our U19 teams. Facing a tough opponent early in the term provided an opportunity to test new combinations, integrate fresh talent and lay the groundwork for the weeks ahead.

On the 7th October, all that hard work paid off in an outstanding double-win day for the Academy:

• The U19s 1st Team delivered an incredible performance against South Gloucester and Stroud College, 49-46. Shout-out to Orla whose shooting was unbelievable throughout the match and a special thanks goes to Becca, who stepped up from the 2nd Team into defence to handle a last-minute injury.
• The U19s 2nd Team dominated early and never looked back against St Dominic’s Catholic College, securing a commanding 61-30 win with brilliant shooting from Bea and Lucy.

Fantastic effort and dedication from our teams this half-term!
