Future Pathway Seminars

Year 10 and Year 11 students explore future opportunities and careers

As part of a new initiative launched by Miss Hopkins, all students in Year 10 and Year 11 have had the opportunity to attend weekly seminars.

These specialised sessions unlock a wide range of tools and templates that allow our students to become more prepared and confident as they advance further into their academic future.

This half-term focused on the world of apprenticeships, where students first gathered an understanding of what an apprenticeship is, before then exploring the different industries and how to apply.

Week 4 held a fantastic interactive session where Miss Hopkins first outlined the STAR method alongside tips and tricks for a perfect interview! Students then put these new skills to the test in paired interview sessions. It was wonderful to see such professionalism in our young students, and watch as they utilised the tools they had learnt over the weeks.

Next term we have an exciting line-up focusing on Russell Group Universities. Students will look into campus life, how to curate a next steps plan and the importance of Super-Curricular. These will take place every Friday Form time for students in Year 10 and Year 11. Please folow our social media or ask your form tutor for more details.

A huge thank you to Miss Hopkins for organising these, and we look forward to next term's sessions!
