BEST Summer Arts Festival

Despite being postponed due to the heatwave, this year's BEST Summer Arts Festival was a fantastic success, bringing together talented students from Etonbury Academy, Robert Bloomfield Academy and Samuel Whitbread Academy for an evening celebrating the creative arts.

The audience enjoyed an outstanding programme of dance, music and drama performances, while also having the opportunity to explore a wonderful exhibition of student artwork. The exhibition showcased an impressive range of creative talent from across the BEST Partnership, highlighting the skill, imagination and hard work of our young artists alongside the live performances.

           

It has been fantastic to see the festival continue to grow each year, providing students with the opportunity to develop their talents, share their creativity and perform or exhibit their work to the wider community.

This year's festival also marked the final BEST Summer Arts Festival performance for a number of our Year 11 and Year 13 students. We would like to thank Alyssia, Archie, Belle, Aaron, Rose, Ollie, Maxwell, Vicky and Jacob for their commitment to the performing arts throughout their time at school. We would also like to give special recognition to Jacob, guitarist for In Dust, who stepped in at the last minute to learn two new songs to support Retroplay. We wish all of our Year 11 and Year 13 performers every success in the future.

A huge thank you to everyone who performed, exhibited their work, and helped organise the event. It was a wonderful celebration of the creativity and talent across the BEST Partnership.

The Addams Family – New Performance Dates

Due to the recent spell of hot weather, our production of The Addams Family has been rescheduled to Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th September 2026.

Our talented cast and crew have been working incredibly hard to bring this production to the stage, and we cannot wait to share it with audiences in September. Packed with humour, memorable songs and unforgettable characters, The Addams Family promises to be an entertaining evening for the whole family.
