Exhibition: Luton Made: Vauxhall
The exhibition will be running at Stockwood Discovery Centre from Saturday, 2nd May to Sunday, 28th June and is free to visit. It tells the story of Vauxhall Motors in Luton, through photographs, objects, film footage, and interactive displays.
As well as being a fun family day out, the exhibition offers strong links to the curriculum and could be of interest to parents looking for free educational activities during weekends and half-term, including links such as:
- Local history – exploring Luton’s industrial past
- Design and technology – understanding how cars are designed and made
- Science/STEM – understanding engineering and manufacturing processes
- PSHE – learning about the communities connected to the factory and Luton
