Whishaw House Crowned Winners of House Debate Competition

Students showcased confidence and teamwork in this year’s debate event, focused on the topic of a four-day school week.

Students from all years recently took part in our exciting House Debate Competition, where teams went head-to-head discussing the topic of a four-day school week. The event showcased excellent public speaking, confidence, and teamwork, with students delivering well-structured arguments and engaging responses throughout the competition.

A special congratulations goes to Daniel M and Noah R, who both impressed judges and audiences alike with their clear articulation and thoughtful debating skills.

The event was expertly organised by our Year 12 Debate Club members — Anya B, Olivia C, Lucy S, and Abigail M — whose hard work and dedication helped make the competition such a success.

Congratulations also to Whishaw House, who were crowned overall winners of this year’s competition. Well done to everyone involved for a fantastic event celebrating confidence, communication, and teamwork.
