Year 12 Students Take First Steps Towards Oxford, Cambridge and Medicine

Year 12 students identified as potential early entry applicants for Oxford, Cambridge and Medicine recently attended an insightful one-hour seminar led by Professor Lee Hubbard from the Raising Aspirations in Bedfordshire project, in collaboration with Oxford University.

The session focused on developing a deeper understanding of critical thinking — a key skill required for success when applying to world-class universities and highly competitive courses. Students were encouraged to challenge ideas, think analytically and engage with complex concepts, helping to prepare them for the demands of the application process and beyond.

This valuable opportunity provided students with an excellent introduction to the academic expectations of top universities and offered inspiration as they begin to consider their future pathways.
