World Book Day at SWA was a great success, with students and staff coming together to celebrate a shared love of reading. The canteen offered a range of literary-themed baked goods, while the library provided a cosy space where students could enjoy hot chocolates served by our fantastic English department.

Our in-house World Book Day competition showcased a range of imaginative and creative entries. Congratulations to all who took part, and especially to Felicity B in Year 10, who was awarded an Amazon voucher for her wonderfully inventive story about cakes that come to life.

It was lovely to see students spending time together at lunchtime, enjoying sweet treats and engaging in conversations about their favourite books. The day created a warm and welcoming atmosphere across the school, highlighting the importance of reading for both enjoyment and connection.
