Girl's & Women's Football Academy

The Women’s Football Academy has made an impressive start to its first season, with players across all age groups demonstrating determination, resilience and a strong commitment to improvement. Throughout the opening fixtures, the squads have shown great character and a clear desire to learn and develop together.

At academy level, the girls began the season facing a number of challenging matches. Despite early setbacks, the squad showed real grit and determination, responding positively to secure their first two wins. This turnaround is a testament to the hard work, focus and belief shown by every player, and the momentum built so far provides a strong foundation for the remainder of the season.

U16 Girl's
The Under 16s have also experienced a demanding campaign, with fixtures that tested both their physical and mental resilience. Across the season, the team has consistently demonstrated strong character, fighting until the final whistle in closely contested matches. Alongside this determination, the squad has also delivered performances that showcased their ability and teamwork, resulting in some convincing victories.

U14 Girl's
For the Under 14s, this term marked their first opportunity to play together as a team, and they have made an outstanding start. The girls have quickly developed into a well-unified and disciplined side, with results on the pitch reflecting their hard work and commitment. The team remains unbeaten, conceding just four goals while scoring an impressive 26 — setting a very high standard for the season ahead.

We are incredibly proud of all players involved in the Women’s Football Academy and look forward to seeing their continued progress, development and success as the season continues.

Boy's & Men's Football Academy

1st XI Men's

The 1st XI continued their impressive ESFA National Cup run with a deserved 2–0 victory over Northampton School for Boys, booking their place in the last 16 and keeping alive hopes of reaching a third final in as many years.

In a competitive and hard-fought contest, the team showed maturity and control, breaking the deadlock through Gianluca G, whose finish capped a strong attacking performance. Dan K doubled the advantage with a well-taken goal that put the tie firmly in our control and underlined the side’s clinical edge in key moments.

At the other end of the pitch, the defensive unit was superb, protecting an outstanding clean sheet. Goalkeeper Noah J was excellent throughout, commanding his area with confidence and producing crucial saves to deny the opposition and ensure there was no way back.

The result sees the 1st XI progress to the next round, where they will face Sandringham School after Christmas, as the journey toward another potential national final continues.

U16 Boy's

The U16As delivered a commanding performance to continue their outstanding run, cruising into the last 32 of the competition with an emphatic 5–0 victory over Van Dyke School.

From the opening whistle, the team asserted their authority, playing with intensity and purpose throughout. Noah A opened the scoring before Gianluca G took centre stage, firing an excellent hat-trick to put the result beyond doubt. Lucas H completed the scoring to cap a ruthless attacking display.

It was a dominant all-round performance, built on control, energy, and togetherness, with the side growing in confidence as the game progressed. Outstanding contributions from Jamie F and Zach P were key to the victory, their influence in key areas allowing the team to dictate play and overwhelm their opponents.

The result highlights a group that is improving with every outing, and they will now turn their attention to a challenging next round fixture against Riverside School of Barking, with momentum firmly on their side.

U16B Boy's

The U16 B team brought their season to a close with a challenging but valuable experience, exiting the National Cup at the last-32 stage after a strong, unbeaten start to the campaign.

Drawn against a powerful and athletic Woodside School side from Haringey, the boys faced an opponent who would not have looked out of place in many A-team competitions. A slow opening proved costly, and the team found themselves 3–0 down before Harrison H struck a well-taken goal to give renewed hope and belief in a possible comeback.

Despite their best efforts, Woodside’s quality shone in the second half, with three further goals sealing the result. While the final scoreline was disappointing, it was a day that demanded resilience and character, and the players showed both in abundance by continuing to compete and fight until the final whistle.

Special recognition must go to Lucas C at centre back and Joe G in goal, who produced outstanding performances under sustained pressure. Although the cup run ended here, the season as a whole has provided valuable lessons, growth, and pride for this U16 B group, who can take plenty of positives forward from their efforts.

Basketball

Our basketball teams have enjoyed an excellent run of fixtures, with strong performances and well-deserved successes across multiple age groups.

On Wednesday, 17th December, the Under 16 boys' basketball team secured an impressive victory against Etonbury School, winning 71–34. It was a fantastic all-round team performance, with excellent teamwork and intensity throughout the match. Ethan was named Most Valuable Player following an outstanding display, while Ethan and Tom combined for over 50 points, playing a key role in the team’s success.

Meanwhile, our Under 14 and Under 16 girls’ basketball teams competed in the district tournaments on Tuesday, 9th and Wednesday, 10th December. Both teams performed exceptionally well, winning all of their matches and demonstrating skill, determination and teamwork throughout the competitions. Their success has earned them a place in the County Finals in January, an excellent achievement for both squads.

Congratulations to all players involved for their hard work and commitment, and we wish the teams the very best of luck as they prepare for the upcoming county finals.
