Sports Days Across the Academy

This July has been filled with energy, teamwork, and a strong sense of community, as students across the school took part in a series of memorable sports events.
It began with Year 10 Sports Day, which featured an exciting mix of netball, handball, football, tug-of-war and relay races. The day was a great success, with excellent participation and plenty of good-natured competition. The following day saw Year 9 take to the field for their own Sports Day, enjoying the same events, and the same glorious weather.
On 14th July, the whole school came together for the annual House Olympics. This much-loved event brings together students and staff from all year groups to compete for house points across a range of activities. Obama House emerged victorious in the Olympics events, while Sims House claimed the overall House Cup, recognising their achievements throughout the academic year.
The celebrations continued with Year 12 Sports Day, which took a more relaxed and creative approach. Students tackled a range of fun challenges, including human pyramids, a slip and slide, and a lively obstacle course. There was plenty of laughter and team spirit on display!
Altogether, it has been a joyful and active end to the school year. A huge well done to all students who took part, and a sincere thank you to the PE department and Sixth Form staff who worked so hard to organise such a fantastic series of events.
