Last Saturday, a group of Year 9 students took part in a practice walk as part of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award preparation. The walk took place in and around Ivanhoe, offering students the opportunity to develop their map reading and navigation skills in a real-world setting.

Students were dropped off at a range of starting points and met by members of staff, who accompanied them on their routes and provided support along the way. The practice walk forms an essential part of the preparation for the final expedition taking place in June.

Well done to all students for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and resilience throughout the day. A massive thank you to the staff who gave their time to help the students complete this expedition.
