A Teacher's Perspective
"On completion of my teacher training I was thrilled to gain a place at Samuel Whitbread Academy as an NQT. The school has a really strong development ethos which has been incredibly motivating as a new teacher. In particular the Maths team have both encouraged and supported me by sharing not only resources, but a wide range of experience and techniques too. In addition, there are lots of opportunities to get involved in the wider school life to broaden your skills and really inspire the amazing students here at the academy. It really is a fantastic place to learn and develop as a teacher."
A SLE's Perspective
"I have been working at Samuel Whitbread for three years and over that time I have had a number of different roles and responsibilities. The roles that I have enjoyed the most have been coaching and supporting other members of staff across all key stages in the academy. As an SLE I have lead CPD for pastoral leaders, department heads and members of the leadership team in assessment and monitoring of student progress. I also take part in the extended Senior Leadership Team of the school and enjoy the challenges this brings to my role."

What the students have to say
“It was enthralling to be guided through the A level course by a set of teachers as dedicated and enthusiastic as those at Samuel Whitbread Academy. They are friendly, approachable and always happy to help. I am thankful for the experience I obtained and it will help me in my studies of Mathematics at Leeds University”
