Academic Enrichment & Extension Opportunities

Senior Youth Theatre

Students are encouraged to join the Academy’s Sixth Form Drama Club which offers one main Drama performance each year, plus the opportunity to perform at the Summer Arts Festival. Students who like musical performance are also given the opportunity to perform in the Trust’s pantomime and the Academy’s main musical production.

Workshops

At the academy we aim to invite professional Drama practitioners into school, this can include creating work for the syllabus or just for fun and experience!

Trips

We will attend live productions that are relevant to the course and use a digital platform to watch productions to enrich students’ experience and culture.

Subject Ambassador

Sixth Form Drama students are invited to be Drama subject ambassadors. This means supporting teachers in lessons with other year groups, talking to prospective students and parents at open evenings and helping out in extra-curricular clubs with younger year groups.
